The Lindy 39200 supports DVI-D Single Link video up to 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz, making it suitable for high-resolution desktop and workstation displays. It provides a supported bandwidth of up to 4.95 Gbit/s and uses IP-based transmission over a single Cat.6 cable. A direct Cat.6 connection can reach up to 130 metres (426.5 feet), helping organizations place computers and servers in centralized locations while keeping the keyboard, mouse, and display at a more convenient operating position.

For KVM functionality, the Lindy 39200 incorporates USB 2.0 connectivity, allowing compatible USB peripherals to communicate with the connected computer through the extender system. The transmitter features two HDMI-form-factor connectors used for the DVI-D signal interface and a USB Type-B connection, while the RJ45 extension port connects to the receiver through Cat.6 cabling. Although HDMI-style connectors are used, the product is designed for DVI-D Single Link transmission and does not support HDMI-specific features such as audio, HDCP, or deep colour.
